HARTFORD: Free data viz workshop

Trinity professors and public officials in Hartford will host  two free public workshops in July on data visualization software. The presentation will include an overview HartfordData and CT Open Data, two online portals for government data.

Workshops are designed for newcomers and mid-level data users at non-profit organizations, government agencies and libraries, or for educators or journalists.

Bring your own laptop to the sessions.

The sessions will be held on:

  • Thursday, July 10. 3-5 p.m. at the Hartford Public Library
  • Tuesday, July 22. 12 – 2 p.m. at Trinity College.

Presenters:

  • Jack Dougherty and Veronic Armendariz – Trinity College
  • Sabina Sitaru, Chief Information Officer, and Brett Flodine, Project Leader – City of Hartford
  • Tyle Kleykamp, Chief Data Officer, State of Connecticut
  • Scott Gaul, Community Indicators Project Director, Hartford Foundation for Public Giving
